Quite close to the airport in Stuttgard, so the plane spotting child in me is happy with staring at the sky.

Moving is happening.
I have til Tuesday to get what remains ((everything with the exception of bedding, clothes, bed, half the books, rowing machine, bicycle and some assorted folders.)) packed into boxes for transport down to Brum.
My ongoing argument with HB and JSA is loosing steam.
I have no money and no income, yet they persist in denying me this.

So, today much better.
Have had decent amount of sleep and got up motivated around 8.
Still have many, many, many things to do, but on THURSDAY I'm of to sunny Berlin to be with my darling Lizzie for 10 days! Whooo!

I think I'm slightly bugnuts this evening.
I've had interrupted sleep thanks to infernal tooth o' doom and, AND the late shift at Plus Net has been full of awkward, stupid and downright confusing calls. Add to that a couple of elementary mistakes that I'd usually catch under better conditions, pre-shift wheetabix and fewer distractions and I've not been a happy bunny today.
Hence the Bun Bun icon.
All I really want is to wind down, cuddle Liz and chill out for an hour.
Instead I'm wired and shaking.
Not the first time. But still.
The VAST MAJORITY of our customers are great. Friendly, polite, even in some cases hugely apologetic that they've had to ring us for whatever reason.
For some reason, I'm getting a heap of callers with either complicated problems or long-standing issues with the company. One call in three is bordering hostile. Hostile I can deal with if it was face to face, but over the phone it annoys me greatly.
Don't fuck with me people, I'm here to help for Christ's sake!
Yes you may have a problem, that problem should not be me.
Before you call. Take a breath, work out what the issue is and find your account details. Then call, wait a couple of minuites, give us your details and *THEN* explain the problem. Be prepared to wait, be transferred or put on hold. We do this so that we can get everything together and resolve the issue.
I may not be the best customer when I'm calling, but I try to avoid the things that annoy me when I'm on the phone at either end. |

Heya folks. I've not been on Livejournal for some time.
Now have internet at home, i.e. the new place in Sheffield.
Am still waiting for the agency to get back to me. Will go see them tomorrow as well as some of the others. Shirt and tie job methinks.
I've got enough cash to last me a couple of months, but I could really do with a job that isn't security-based.
Liz and I are currently living together, playing scrabble on the computer and getting on pretty well. Sure we have off day's, but that's life isn't it?
Life is mostly good. Missing a load of you in the midlands, though. |

Ok, that's overdoing it a little.
Here's one, how many of you go to the library and borrow a book?
Ever wanted to do that online?
I've got shelves full of books, I've read, enjoyed, loaned to friends and read again months later.

I was not on my best behavior. No, I was very much an asshole.
For what little it's worth, I'm sorry and now probably owe a bars worth of drinks before I even begin to apologise properly. Though I've got no real idea of where to begin or who I should start with.
Some lessons have been learned from this year.
If I'm in the same state of mind again, I'll not be back for the '08. It wouldn't be fair on the rest of you, would it? |

Ok, pardon if he spelling is crap, this keyboard is old and uncared for.
I'm in York. It seemed like a good idea this morning, following a conversation over the phone with a friend, I thought it best to get within 5 minuite response range. I care. I really do.
Why then, do I do something with the best intentions and life turns round to kick me in the balls?
Came out to infest, tried to make an effort and haven't stayed a full session out yet. I keep getting pissed off with being ignored or as a lesser human being when all I want is some fun and perhaps a hug?

I need human contact, actual physical contact. I need to know I'm doing the right thing and that *someone* appreciates me once in a while.
Yes, I cling to the small social groups I know. You know why? I'm fucking terrified of going out on my own and trying to socialise that way.
Part of that may explain why I was getting merrily plastered in the middle of the day, yesterday. I broke the rule. I drank alone. I think I'm still hung up over something that should have ment nothing to either of us. I'll get over it, once I've had time to sit down and talk it out. Doesn't matter with whom.
Going to give it some time and then make plans for getting back to Brum early. Not going back to infest now, not without good reason given. Cost me £10.50 to get this far today and I'd have paid ten times that if I'd been needed.
Right now, it feels like it's all come to a head, all the little crap has snowballed and I've got some difficult choices to make. At least one of them has alredy reduced me to tears this weekend. I just need to act on it, however selfish that may be.

The client (C+W) has asked my employers (The Corps) to investigate a potential abuse of work-based internet.
It does not however, flag one of the potentially offensive webpages (for example, Page3.com) no, the flagged item is an online image file. I go and have a look on a non-company computer outside the building and find that this "Adult and/or Sexually explicit" flagged image is...

I append for you dear readers, my response delivered from a Central Library computer.
I thought computers, the internet and suchlike was supposedly a specialty for these people?

Cancelled appointment with Legion. Haven't gone to see Insight (going to do that tomorrow when I'm in a suit).
I do need to drop in on the NHS center in town to see about these neck pains and the clicking arm, just in case I've done something stupid.
